Use Undo, Back and other everyday controls

Tips

Some screens show a short tip the first time, for example when you spotlight a move.

1. Read the tip.
2. To hide it for good, tick Don't show this again.
3. Close the tip.

If you close it without the tick, the tip comes back next time.

To see all hidden tips again, open Settings › BEHAVIOUR › Show dismissed tips again and tap SHOW AGAIN.

Messages and UNDO

After some actions, a small message appears at the top for about 5 seconds. Swipe it sideways or tap its X to close it early.

When you delete a move, a set, a rival or a note in My Notes, the message has UNDO. Tap it before the message goes away to get the item back. See Delete a move and get it back.

Unsaved changes

If you leave a form with changes you have not saved, the app asks Unsaved changes first.

• In Settings and MY PROFILE: SAVE & LEAVE, CANCEL (stay) or DISCARD.
• In other forms, like a habit or a goal: SAVE & LEAVE, KEEP EDITING or DISCARD CHANGES.

Far view

On Tabata, Spar, Spar 1 vs 1 and the Competition Simulator, tap FAR VIEW. The screen shows only the key things, big enough to read from across the room.

Far view is on at the start. It is one switch for all these screens: turn it off on one, and it is off on all of them.

The screen stays on

While a Tabata timer, a Spar session or a Competition Simulator battle runs, the screen stays on. So does Battle View, and a freestyle list in far view. When you come back to the app, it stays on again.

Timer sounds

Tabata, Spar, Spar 1 vs 1, the Competition Simulator and Restore / Remix / Rebuild play beeps and bells. There is no sound setting in the app. On iPhone, you hear them even with the silent switch on. They play over your music.

The back button

On Android, use the back button or the back gesture. On iPhone, swipe in from the left edge. Back closes, in this order:

1. A question on screen, like Unsaved changes.
2. A sheet that is open.
3. The screen that is open, like a move, Search, Settings or a tool. If a session is running or not saved, the app asks first.
4. A deeper page, like a day in MY BOOK.
5. Then it goes to HOME.

On HOME with nothing open, Android puts MovesBook in the background. It does not close the app.
