Getting started

Use MovesBook offline and on more than one device

MovesBook works without internet. Signed in, your data also syncs to your account, so it follows you to other devices.

A move's attachment marked Not on this phone on a second device

Steps

  1. Use MovesBook as normal, with or without internet. Everything you add is saved on the device first.
  2. To use a second device, install MovesBook there, or open app.movesbook.app.
  3. Sign in with the same account. Your synced data comes down to the new device.

What syncs when you are signed in

Almost everything you make in the app: moves, categories, sets, sessions, habits, goals, notes, calendar, battles, rivals, timers, stance, your profile and profile photo. Your settings sync too, like theme, language and zoom.

Changes you make offline wait on the device. They go up to your account when you are back online.

What never leaves the phone

  • Videos, photos and audio you add from your phone or record in the app. They are kept inside MovesBook on that phone.
  • Your injury log and rest log.

A second device gets your moves but not these files. To move them to a new phone, use a backup file. See What stays on your phone and Back up your MovesBook.

Without an account

Everything stays on this one device and nothing syncs. See Use MovesBook without an account.
