Invite students with a join code

Copy or share your class's 6-character join code so students can join from their own app.

Steps

  1. Tap your profile picture at the top right.
  2. Under CLASSES, tap Classes I teach. If you have more than one class, tap the class.
  3. Find the JOIN CODE card. It shows the 6-character code in large letters.
  4. Tap COPY to copy the code. Or tap SHARE to send it with your phone's share sheet.

SHARE sends a ready message with the class name and the code. It also tells students where to type it: PROFILE → My classes → Join a class. If sharing is not possible, the app copies the code instead.

You can also just show the code, for example on a whiteboard.

What your students do

Each student opens MovesBook, goes to My classes, taps Join a class and types the code. Joining is free for them. See Join a class.

Who has joined

On your class screen, look under STUDENTS. Each student shows the name they chose for the class. If they left it empty, you see their nickname, or "Student" and four letters. The line under each name counts what they sent and what is still to do.

With no students yet, you see "No students yet. Share the join code to get them in."
