Save a clip as its own video

Steps

1. Open a video from your phone in a move or a set, and tap EDIT.
2. Drag the handles on the filmstrip to the part you want.
3. Or move to a frame and tap START, then move on and tap END.
4. Tap SET AS CLIP. The Start point window opens with the times filled in.
5. Give the clip a name if you like, and tap SAVE.
6. Save the clip as a video? opens. Choose one option (see below).

The app shows Clip saved and the times. The clip now sits under its video and plays only that part.

Keep it as a video

A clip saved as its own video keeps playing even if you delete the original.

• Save as copy: adds the clip as a new video on the same move or set. The original stays.
• Save to…: adds the clip as a new video on another move or set, or on a New move.
• Replace original: keeps only the clip and deletes the rest of the video. You can use it only when the video has no other clips or start points.
• NOT NOW: keeps the clip as a mark on the video, with no new file.

Fix a mistake

• Tap undo or redo. They work while the video is open.
• Hold START to put it back to 0:00. Hold END to clear it.
• Close with changes you didn't save, and Discard changes? asks first. Tap KEEP EDITING or DISCARD.

How many clips

Free: 1 saved clip per video. When a video has it, the button shows 1 of 1 on this video. Tapping it opens the plans sheet. Premium saves every clip you cut. Start points with no end never count, and changing a clip you already saved is always free. See plans and pricing.
