Getting started

Is MovesBook free?

Yes. Every tool opens for free. Some tools have a free limit, and a small counter shows how much is left, like 1 of 1 today. See What's free and what Premium adds.

Do I need an account?

No. Tap Continue without account on the sign-in screen. Everything then stays on this one device. See Use MovesBook without an account.

Does MovesBook come with moves in it?

No. Your library starts empty, so everything in it is yours. Start with Add your first move, or add a long list at once with Bulk import your moves.

Can I use MovesBook on a computer?

Yes. Open the web app at app.movesbook.app in any browser. A few things need the phone app, like videos from your phone and Replay Cam. See Install MovesBook.

Can I change the language?

Yes. MovesBook has 13 languages. See Change the language.

Your data and devices

Does MovesBook work offline?

Yes. Everything is saved on your device first. When you are signed in, your changes go up to your account once you are back online. See Use MovesBook offline and on more than one device.

Can I use MovesBook on two phones?

Yes. Sign in with the same account on both. Your moves and settings follow you, but videos and photos from your phone stay on the phone where you added them. See What stays on your phone.

Where are my videos?

Videos and photos you add or record are kept inside MovesBook on that phone. They are never uploaded. Video links work on every device. See Where your videos are kept.

I have a new phone. How do I get my moves back?

Sign in with the same account. Your synced data comes back. Without an account, or to bring your videos too, restore a backup file. See Restore a backup.

I deleted a move by mistake. Can I get it back?

Yes. Deleted moves wait in the Bin for 15 days. Open Settings, tap BIN and tap RESTORE. See Delete a move and get it back.

Features

Why can't I find Replay Cam on the web app?

Replay Cam uses your phone's camera, so it is only in the phone app. See Watch yourself on a delay with Replay Cam.

Does MovesBook send reminders?

No. MovesBook sends no notifications. My Notes show at the top of MOVES each time you open it, and a habit's time is only a label on its tile. See Keep reminders in My Notes.

How do I join my teacher's class?

Ask your teacher for the 6-character class code. Then open MY PROFILE › My classes › JOIN A CLASS. See Join a class.

Is there help inside the app?

Yes. Settings has a USER MANUAL with its own search. See Find answers in the app.

Premium

What happens when my free trial ends?

You keep using MovesBook for free. The free limits and their counters come back straight away. See Start your free trial.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Use the subscription settings of your App Store account or of Google Play. The MANAGE button in MovesBook does not cancel anything. See Choose a Premium plan.

I paid, but Premium is not there

Sign in with the account you bought it on. On the phone app, you can also tap Restore Purchases on the plans sheet. See Restore your purchases.
